Interprofessional Education - IPE

About IPE

Message from the LAU-IPE Coordinator

Welcome to the LAU IPE website!

The Lebanese American University has been at the forefront of promoting inter-professional and collaborative practices. The LAU IPE Program was established bringing together members from the various health sciences to promote collaborative work amongst physicians, pharmacists, nurses and dietitians. The LAU IPE program has a well-established and active interprofessional workgroup that promotes collaborative education and clinical practice of health and social care students. Students from the schools of medicine, nursing, pharmacy and nutrition come together to learn about, from and with, and to better understand various contributors to healthcare services.

We are dedicated to raising awareness about, and implementing IPE and Collaborative Practice within the LAU educational community in general, and more specifically, within healthcare education and practice. LAU has been a pioneer in the promotion of IPE in Lebanon since 2010, and has a team dedicated to ensuring that learners are provided with adequate opportunities to learning about, practice, and participate in IPE. The IPE Program at LAU was established on the premise of expanding learning about, teaching of, practice, and research on inter- and intra-professional experience not only locally, but at both the regional and global levels.

Here, you will learn more about the LAU - IPE Program, its organization, activities, news, research, and related resources. For further information or to share suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
